Is CRAZY FAST weight loss achievable?

YES is the answer (and yes, you did read that correctly!) But is it good for you, sustainable and would we recommend it are probably better questions.

Well, sometimes in life, for whatever reason, you will get a scenario where you need to drop a lot of weight crazy fast. Have we been there? Yes, we have. Last minute holidays have been booked and unplanned photo shoots have come around with typically a few weeks’ notice and we wanted to be as lean as possible.

As a strategy, it’s not one we recommend and crash dieting should never form part of any strategy long term but, if you do need to do it for said type reasons above then go for it but proceed with caution!

How do I do it?

Eat less and move more. It’s that simple! How much weight you will lose will depend on how extreme you go with this formula. Completely extreme is say 2 gym sessions a day with lots of cardio and maybe 1000 – 1200 calories per day!

It really comes down to how badly you want it.

Don’t listen to marketers telling you their tea or coffee will do it, that is total BS! It comes down to the above.

Why we don’t recommend this approach?

As a one off for a total ‘emergency’ is ok. That may be an unpopular opinion with some coaches however, if for whatever reason you need it that fast for an occasion or event, will stating coach X’s opinion of low and slow to other people help you look / feel how you want to?? Obviously not!

We don’t recommend this approach with the exception of the above emergency as stated above (hence the statement of proceed with caution) for the following reasons

- It’s unsustainable and you’re likely to have a massive bounce back with bingeing
- It promotes an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise. 
- It’s incredibly difficult
- There could be health implications

If you do go for it, do make sure you drink LOTS of water, eat a minimum of 1g of protein per lb of body weight and only do this as a one off for a very short period of time.
